PokéBonk Economy Guide: Poké Balls, Meowth, Selling & Training

How in-run money (₽) works, with the official numbers and what has changed since.

Quick answer

Every defeated Pokémon drops ₽. You spend it on Poké Balls (each opens a choice of 3 items) and at Meowth’s shop. Poké Balls get more expensive with every one you buy, and Meowth’s prices and Restock cost keep rising through the run, so compare the three choices before paying and sell items you will never use.

How do Poké Balls work?

How much does a Poké Ball cost?

Prices have been retuned twice in two days. The latest official figures are from the maintenance update on 17 Oct 2026.

Version15th purchase20th purchase₽ per defeated Pokémon
Before Patch #55,627 ₽28,357 ₽baseline
Patch #5 (16 Oct, 5:23 PM PDT)1,570 ₽4,673 ₽+25%
After maintenance (17 Oct, 1:37 AM PDT)2,206 ₽7,875 ₽back to the pre-Patch #5 value

Official, Patch #5 and the maintenance update. The maintenance notes say Poké Balls got “a bit pricier from the 12th purchase on”. Prices before the 12th purchase were not published, so we do not list them.

How does Meowth’s shop work?

Is selling items worth it?

Yes. Since Patch #5 an item sells for a share of the Poké Ball price depending on its rarity, and a legendary item is worth a Poké Ball and a half. When you sell at Meowth, each item shows its name, rarity, effect and which moves it affects (Patch #3). Official.

What is Training?

Once every move and vitamin is maxed, each level gives a small permanent bonus (+damage, +HP, +area, +luck…), shown on your Pokémon and summed in the pause menu. After the maintenance update each Training level gives slightly less than the last, plus a flat 15 ₽, and a single ×N label replaces the pop-ups (hide it with the “Notifications” setting). Official, Patch #5 and maintenance update.

What about Stardust?

Stardust is the meta currency spent in the Lab. Stardust earned from KOs is capped at 780 per run, so farming hundreds of thousands of KOs gives less. Official, Patch #4. The Lab calls it Stardust, while the run summary labels the end-of-run reward “Star Sand” next to the same purple dust icon, so they appear to be the same currency under two names. Observed, v0.7.2. The Lab’s Trading upgrade adds +8% PokéDollars per level — see the Lab guide. Difficulty changes the multiplier — see the difficulty guide.

We have not measured Poké Ball prices ourselves; price figures are the official patch numbers. Each fact is labelled Official (from the announcements) or Observed (seen in the game UI).
